The Resident Travesties

Travesty Hall is comprised of 9 ensemble members - actors, writers, recording artists and all around crazy people

Kathryn Gourley - Founder, Writer, Ensemble

After the last several decades spent aging around the world, and surrounded by the best people, Kathryn saw an opportunity during the pandemic to continue her quest to be unpredictable. She has since realized that chaos is an absolute necessity and makes an excellent pairing with a hearty Irish breakfast.

Kathryn is a theatrical Director and Stage Manager in Denver, CO.

Mike Moran - Head Writer, Ensemble

Since Mike Moran was just a children, he wanted to be a comedian. Now his dream is just to be a good comedian. When Kathryn asked him to be in her sketch comedy podcast, he had to divert focus from his passion project of slowly giving himself diabetes and doing nothing to improve himself during quarantine, and he’s been happy to have done so. Mike is a Denver native who has studied comedy under Kyle Cease, Josh Blue, Louie Anderson, and Ralphie May, and he has a BA in Theatre from Fort Lewis College.

Jessica Jewell - Sound Master Guru, Writer, Ensemble

Jess is a sound designer, sound mixer, and recording engineer from Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have a Bachelor's of Science in Music for Recording Arts from the University of Colorado Denver. In 2019, they were awarded the BroadwayWorld Denver Regional Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical for their work on Equinox's Sweeney Todd. During non-pandemic times, they spend much of their time in local theatre as an A1 for musicals. Since the pandemic hit, they have built a home/mobile recording studio, and have been recording their own music and other people's projects locally ever since. You can learn audio production techniques from Jess at Castle Rock Music (castlerockmusic.com), and you can follow their work at jessicajewellsound.com.

P-Jay Adams - Writer, Ensemble

P-Jay Adams (they/them), part-time comedian, full-time diva. Someone told them they were funny once while they were saying something as rude as it was true, and they just leaned into it. Special skills include: singing unnecessarily high notes at the most inopportune times, twerking on any and everything/one in their vicinity, obnoxious noises, string side-eye, and going insane from lack of sleep and spreading themselves too thin on an hour to hour basis. Laugh a little, life’s too short to always be serious.

Holly Dalton - Writer, Ensemble
Holly is a Boston Native who believes that with every thousand people she scares away with toilet humor, there’s one new soul mate to be found. Holly has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University, and has since flitted from gig to gig with the purpose of losing herself in the fun. You may have seen her reporting on Public Television in Brooklyn, cheat to the audience in local Denver theaters, or destroy her larynx in the name of rock at local bars. Holly also enjoys hiking, yelling at drag queens on tv, Tae Bo, yelling at European bakers on tv, and making up terms of endearment for dogs.

Jack Thomas - Writer, Ensemble

Jack is a piece of bread soaked in tap water. Mike was cleaning out his sink and saw a piece of wet bread in the corner and said "... This will do." Jack has since revived into a piece of dried bread. He hopes to one day be toasted and smothered in some sort of jam or marmalade. Jack has previously been part of a sandwich, but was discarded due to a half hearted low carb diet.

Shelby Taylor - Writer, Ensemble

??????? ?????? ????????????????????????????????? ???????? ??????????????????? ??????????????????????????? ??????????????? ????????????????? It’ll take an hour…????????????????? ?

Anna Wagner - Writer, Ensemble

“Anna is the worst. Full stop.”

“Anna has, at any point in her life, been a Molly Shannon character.”

Brad Wagner - Writer, Ensemble

Brad grew up in an underwater volcano and was raised by jellyfish. His jellyfish parents were eaten by sharks and the sharks adopted him out of pity. They realized that he was no longer fit for the ocean when he started listening to heavy metal and playing electric guitars made from remains of sunken ships. The sharks were then killed by humans. One of the humans was Mike Moran. Moran then said, “Listen little sharky boy! You are going to abandon your heavy metal dreams and join my podcast or I’ll kill you like I killed your parents!” Brad joined the podcast and has been happy ever since.
